ShareYourNest.com is currently in its initial launch and host-recruitment phase. At this stage, matching between guests and hosts is not yet active. Features such as advanced ID verification, user reviews, liability insurance, and dispute protocols are still under development. We will update this Privacy Policy as soon as these features go live.

When you register as a potential host through our sign-up form, we collect the following personal information:

• Your full name
• Your email address
• Your phone number
• The physical address or geographic location of the accommodation you wish to offer

We use the collected data for the following specific purposes:

• To contact you regarding your host application
• To screen you personally as a potential host before adding you to the platform
• To send you updates regarding the development and launch of LocalNest and ShareYourNest.com

Lawful Basis: We process this data based on your explicit consent when you voluntarily submit the registration form to pursue a potential partnership with us.

While we currently manage host applications internally, we partner with specialized third-party services to ensure a secure platform:

• Payment Processing: We use Stripe (Stripe, Inc.) to handle payment infrastructure, compliance, and financial transactions. Your financial data and specific onboarding details will be processed securely by Stripe according to their own privacy standards.
• Legal and Government Obligations: We do not sell or rent your data. We only share your data with third parties when legally required by US, EU, or local authorities.

Our website has a chat assistant called Nesta. Nesta is an artificial intelligence (AI) assistant, not a person. She answers questions about LocalNest and, if you ask, can pass a question on to our team. This section explains what happens with the information you share with her.

• What we process: the messages you type and Nesta's replies, the page and FAQ chapter you were reading, your chosen site language, and a random session code that links the messages of one conversation. We do not ask for your name, and the chat log is not linked to your account, your email address or your IP address.
• Passing a question to our team: only if you choose to. Then we also process your email address, your question and the conversation so far. We use these solely to follow up on your question.
• Why we use it: to answer your questions, to improve our FAQ, information and service, and to detect misuse of the chat. Our legal basis is our legitimate interest in doing so, and, for questions you send to our team, your own request. Nesta does not make decisions about you and we use no automated decision-making that has legal or similarly significant effects.
• Third-party processors: to write her answers, Nesta sends the conversation text, together with the page and FAQ chapter you are on, to Anthropic, PBC, a US company, through its Claude API; it does not receive your IP address or account details from us. Anthropic processes this data on our behalf under its own commercial terms and privacy policy. Chat logs and questions for our team are stored in our database provider (Supabase), and emails to our team are delivered by our email provider (Resend).
• Retention: chat logs are deleted automatically after 90 days. Questions you sent to our team are kept for as long as needed to handle them, and are then deleted within a reasonable timeframe.
• Storage in your browser: your current conversation and a random session code are kept in your browser tab so that Nesta can continue across pages; they disappear when you close the tab. A small setting remembers if you dismissed Nesta's greeting. This is not used for tracking or advertising.
• Please do not share sensitive data: Nesta never asks for passwords, payment details or other sensitive information. Do not type them into the chat. Because chats are stored without your name, we may not be able to find a specific conversation unless you tell us roughly when it took place.
• Limits of her answers: Nesta can make mistakes. Her answers are general information, not legal, tax or financial advice, and they do not change our terms, booking agreement or policies, which always take precedence.

This website currently uses only essential and technical cookies that are strictly necessary for the website to function properly. We do not use third-party tracking cookies or advertising pixels at this stage.

• Retention: We store your information for as long as necessary to complete the screening process. If you are accepted, your data is kept for the duration of our partnership. If your application is unsuccessful, we will securely delete your data within a reasonable timeframe.
• Security: We implement appropriate technical and organizational security measures (including SSL encryption) to protect your data against unauthorized access, loss, or misuse.

Depending on where you live, you have specific legal rights regarding your data (such as the right to access, correct, or delete your information):

• European Union (GDPR): If you reside in the EU, you have full rights under the General Data Protection Regulation and can file a complaint with your local Data Protection Authority.
• United States & Other Regions: For users in the US and other global regions, we apply the same high standards of data protection and privacy rights in compliance with applicable local laws.
